Glenn Thomas Carano (born November 18, 1955) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League who played for the Dallas Cowboys for seven seasons. He also played for the Pittsburgh Maulers of the United States Football League. He is currently the General Manager of Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno. ==Early years== Carano was born in San Pedro, California, and attended Earl Wooster High School in Reno, Nevada.〔http://www.mmanews.com/news/81579〕 He later became the starter at quarterback for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). In 1976 he completed 148 of 277 passes for 2,075 yards and 13 touchdowns,〔https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1346&dat=19761231&id=FasuAAAAIBAJ&sjid=vvoDAAAAIBAJ&pg=3825,8909483〕 while leading his team to the Division II Midwest Regional quarter-final and a No. 7 national ranking. In his college career, he completed 337 of 636 passes for 5,095 yards and 37 touchdowns. In 1989 he was inducted into the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame. In 2015, he was inducted in the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.
